Jo Curtin is a dedicated remedial and oncology massage therapist with a range of experience across private practice and hospital-based care. She is a member of the Association of Massage Therapists and a registered Oncology Massage Therapist. Jo has worked in private practice since 2014, providing massage in specialised areas such as cancer management, stroke recovery, seniors’ health, cerebral palsy management, stress and anxiety, and palliative care, in addition to musculoskeletal pain and injury management. She is passionate about the benefits that massage can offer people living with cancer, and the integration of massage into health management and wellbeing as a whole.
In 2024, Jo completed her training in the Casley-Smith method of lymphoedema assessment and management with the Australian Institute of Lymphoedema. She is passionate about early detection and intervention for lymphoedema for patients living with cancer. Her speciality interests are Manual Lymphatic Drainage for lymphoedema and lymphatic massage for scar tissue. She is a full member of the Australasian Lymphology Association.
Jo has a Diploma of Remedial Massage, and has achieved qualification in the following specialist areas: Oncology Massage Therapy, Complex Physical Therapy for Assessment and Management of Lymphoedema - Casley-Smith method, Pregnancy Massage.
